| Eligibility |
- You cannot retake Test that you have passed.
- You must be 17 years of age or older on exam date. Indonesian nationals must be at least 18 years old on exam date.
- Those with Japanese nationality are not eligible to take the test.
- Anyone with a residence status can take the exam. Even those residing in Japan with the residence status of “Short-term stay” can take the test (even those with no mid- to long-term residence history can take the test). Those who do not have a status of residence (illegal overstayers, etc.) will not be allowed to take the test.
*However, even if you are able to pass Test, this does not guarantee that you will be granted the status of residence of “Specified Skilled Worker”, and those who pass Test will not be able to apply for Certificate of eligibility or remain in residence. Please note that even if you apply for permission to change your status, it does not necessarily mean that you will be issued Certificate of eligibility or receive permission to change your status of residence. |
| Retake Policy |
- You cannot retake Test that you have passed.
- Those who fail the exam are not permitted to take the same exam again for 45 days starting from the day after the exam.
(Even if the language is different, if the subject is the same, it will be considered the same exam and will be subject to Retake Policy.)
- If you retake the exam within 45 days and it turns out that you passed, your pass may be revoked.
